Our operation exploits the DIELECTRIC PERMITTIVITY (or DIELECTRIC CONSTANT), which is notably higher in water compared to plastics.
How Does Real-Time In-Line Moisture Measurement Work?
Content Variation: Firstly, any variation in the moisture content within the product (polymer) causes a change in the material's combined dielectric constant.
Monitoring: Then this change is immediately measured and monitored by the Bry-Air Prokon sensor, detecting variations in the dielectric signal.
Advanced Technology: Meanwhile our technology is capable of precisely separating the real (capacitive) and imaginary (conductive) components of dielectric permittivity, ensuring a reliable reading.
Calibration: To ensure maximum accuracy, an initial calibration against a known moisture amount is required.
